I took Cole to get his six month check up on Monday. He was laying on the floor when Dr. Huff walked in. The first words out of his mouth were "He's getting so big." Then we do all the checking. His is 13 pounds 9 ounces which is in the 3 percentile and 25 inches long which is the 5 percentile, so he really isn't that big. He is bigger that he started out, isn't that what we want? His personality has really showed its self in the last month. He rarely has anything but a smile on his face. He is such a happy baby. He loves to be held and played. His favorite thing to d besides eat is bug his sister. He has had her in tears more that once. Most of it has to do with him taking her toys. Oh, yah, I can't wait until he is older. . .I think it is only going to get worst. I started a think with Mia though she can't take a toy away from him without trading him for it. I think it is working because she is starting to share more with him. My children are so cute. Yah, I am biased, but I have a right to be. I am there mother.
I have been reading this book called Walking into a Hug: 52 Weeks to a Home That's More EMBRACING by Janene Ustach. It is so good. I believe is was written just for me. The first week I have been working on Simply Smiling. It is harder than is sounds, especially with Jared gone. I have had the hardest time being happy when I feel like half of me is gone. And Mia has been acting up and I get so frustrated with everything. So when I get frustrated I try to simply smile. And believe it or not it is working. I have a couple more days to go. I hope to be smiling more than not by the end of the week.
