Jared will be home Thursday.  I am so excited. I feel like I am waiting for Christmas, he does have to leave again, but I'm not thinking about that.

I am still trying to get the hang of this so sorry for punctuation and grammar mistakes. It isn't doing what I want it to do.
I took Cole to get his six month check up on Monday. He was laying on the floor when Dr. Huff walked in. The first words out of his mouth were "He's getting so big." Then we do all the checking. His is 13 pounds 9 ounces which is in the 3 percentile and 25 inches long which is the 5 percentile, so he really isn't that big. He is bigger that he started out, isn't that what we want? His personality has really showed its self in the last month. He rarely has anything but a smile on his face. He is such a happy baby. He loves to be held and played. His favorite thing to d besides eat is bug his sister. He has had her in tears more that once. Most of it has to do with him taking her toys. Oh, yah, I can't wait until he is older. . .I think it is only going to get worst. I started a think with Mia though she can't take a toy away from him without trading him for it. I think it is working because she is starting to share more with him. My children are so cute. Yah, I am biased, but I have a right to be. I am there mother. I have been reading this book called  Walking into a Hug: 52 Weeks to a Home That's More EMBRACING by Janene Ustach. It is so good. I believe is was written just for me. The first week I have been working on Simply Smiling. It is harder than is sounds, especially with Jared gone. I have had the hardest time being happy when I feel like half of me is gone. And Mia has been acting up and I get so frustrated with everything. So when I get frustrated I try to simply smile. And believe it or not it is working. I have a couple more days to go. I hope to be smiling more than not by the end of the week.

Happy Easter
(Saturday) It has been a pretty fun week, with the exception that this is the first holiday that my husband has missed and i miss him. I don't think that the kids enjoyed as much as they would have if their dad had been here, but the did have some fun.
As you can see they met the Easter Bunny. He was a Lee's. We went down the Hippity-Hoppity Trail and Mia got some goodies. She was actually more impressed with Easter Bunny and was calling for him the whole time. He finally agreed to have his picture with her and Cole. Cole doesn't quite know what to think. I was surprised that Mia enjoyed it as much as she did considering what happened with Santa Clause.
After going on the trail we went to my cousin Trisha's house to decorate eggs. Mia really enjoyed herself. She had picked out the egg coloring that we used. Guess what it was.  Yep. Princess eggs. It came with crowns and stickers to decorate the eggs with. We even made some tie died eggs. I think she had more fun just playing with Addie and Hunter. She was so dirty by the time we left that I had to put her in the tub when we got home, but with summer fast approaching i think there is going to be a lot more of that.

(Sunday) We went to church today with my parents. It was very enjoyable. Gavin Gailey reported his mission. I haven't seen him for years. I was best friends with his sister.
Mia got a new dress from the Easter Bunny along with some clothes, princess markers, and bubbles.
Cole got some clothes and a bumble elephant. He likes it a lot. I bought myself a skirt because the Easter Bunny didn't visit me. Hopefully in a few weeks he will. (if you know what I mean, Jared)
We ate dinner with my parents then went to Jared's parents and had bunny cake and ice cream. All in all the day was enjoyable, but there was something missing. Oh, ya, Jared wasn't there. I miss him so much. It is like a piece of me is missing. I hope he know how much I love him.
I love you, Jared.

We just had a family picture taken so that Jared would have one for when he was gone and I had one to hang in my living room. I have to say it turned out rather well.
He left to go to Fort Sill, Oklahoma for seven weeks and then he will move to Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas for seven weeks. I miss him so much. I do get to see him for two days in April. He is going to fly home on the 24th and then leave the 26th. I don't know how I am going to survive, but survive I will.
Cole is six months old now and growing like a weed. Between him and his sister we are not going to have any food around for long. They are always hungry. Mia says she needs and Cole just cries, but they get their point across.
Mia loves to play with her little brother. There has been several occasions that I find her in his bed with him in it reading a story to him. She has even fed him for me, but I keep a close eye on them.
Cole like to torment his sister. She has a play princess phone and some keys that she carries around all of the time. Cole has been trying to steal them lately. If Mia sits close enough to him he will grab them and starts to giggle (and yes I mean giggle, he know exactly what he is doing) Mia, of course, screams (I think that is what Cole likes about it). But in the end they are best friends.
I am still trying to adjust and gradually I am. I still have moments but for the most part it is coming along. I have even found some time to crochet again. They keep me busy but I enjoy it most of the time. Eventually I might actually get around to sharing some past photos of Mia and Cole together and you will see what I mean.

Well two and a half months have passed since little Cole made his way here. It has been such a joy just to have another little baby to snuggle with. Mia is at the age where she wants to do everything by herself with no help and no snuggling. Life is hectic with two kids but also a lot more fun.
Jared just received notice that he will be commissioned this month. It has taken a while but we are both excited. Next waiting period will be to see if he is accepted into PA school.  His transcript has already been approved and he has to get a couple of things updated for his application packet before he can turn it in again.
Thats all for right now. I have some children that need my attention.
